TRANSFORMING
COFFEE AND TEA TRADE,
THROUGH PARTNERSHIP

Connecting passionate farmers with global markets and enriching the coffee and tea experience through authenticity and transparency.

who we are

Auricare International Limited serves as a vital bridge for foreign companies navigating Kenya’s complex coffee regulatory landscape. By leveraging their expertise in global supply chain operations, they assist international buyers in two ways: first, they act as a licensed intermediary within the Central Auction System, handling the technicalities of sampling, cupping, and bidding at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange to ensure clients secure high-quality lots (AA, AB, and PB) at competitive market prices.

Simultaneously, they facilitate Direct Sales by connecting roasters and importers with a vetted network of smallholder cooperatives and estates. In this capacity, they manage the entire “Second Window” process—from negotiating transparent contracts and registering them with the Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) to overseeing quality control and export logistics—allowing foreign buyers to achieve farm-to-cup traceability without the administrative burden.

1. SERVICES FOR CENTRAL AUCTION SYSTEM

The Auction system is service-heavy on the “pre-bid” and “settlement” stages, as most logistics are centralized.

Licensing & Legal Compliance (Mandatory):

AuriCare International has already secured a Coffee Buyer’s License from the AFA (Agriculture and Food Authority), including bonding and exchange access.

Quality & Technical Services:

Sampling & Cupping: Licensed liquorers collect 250g samples from the NCE sample room to grade flavor profiles (acidity, body, notes).

Bidding Representation: Acting as the “floor trader” to execute bids during the Tuesday auctions.

Post-Auction Logistics:

Warehousing: Storage of “clean coffee” (milled beans) in NCE-approved warehouses.

Warrant Management: Handling the Warehouse Warrant, which is the physical title deed to the coffee lot.

2. SERVICES FOR DIRECT SALE
(SECOND WINDOW)

Auricare International provides hands-on “middleman” services

for white-glove service from farm-to-cup.

Contractual & Advisory Services:

Sourcing & Matchmaking: Identifying specific estates or cooperatives that match the buyer’s profile.

Contract Registration: Drafting and registering the “Sales Contract” with the AFA to ensure it meets the minimum price floor.

Processing & Milling Services:

Milling Oversight: Since coffee is often bought as “parchment” (unprocessed), Auricare International will oversee the milling into “clean coffee” at licensed mills.

Grading: Sorting the beans into grades (AA, AB, PB, C) based on size and density.

Traceability & Sustainability Audits:

Verification: Ensuring the coffee meets specific certifications (Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance) as requested by the foreign buyer.
